Dawn graduated at the beginning level....and must wear white for the ceremony.
Don't we look happy....Dawn for starting and me for finishing the reading program.
I arranged a luncheon at the Athenaeum Hotel for a few friends that also graduated final level..... we have been reading together for years. We let the new grad join us too.

Speaking of white......
For years I've heard about the rare white squirrel of Chautauqua. This week I finally got to see him/her for myself. These are the best of about 20 photos...I was so excited many of the photos are blurry but you get the idea.
And finally ...huge chocolate chip cookies by the lake as a final treat to end the season.
Back for another season at Chautauqua..... Every year National Geographic puts up billboards. Usually they are photos of all over the world. These year it was entirely whale photos.

Patti and family came for dinner and a visit to the Fishing Club. Patti loved the quiet time spent in nature. Then we went to the French chocolate shop for ice cream which she loved even more.

After 5 months of knitting....this is my basket of 25 scarves.
Off to the U.C.C church where we knit for the Blessing Service. Our local group is just one of many from across the country of "Women Who Knit For Peace."
This poster shows some of the children around the world with their scarves and dolls . Also a photo of the Girl Scout Troop here that helped sew and stuff the dolls.
