We always seem to be there for St Patrick's day and I made the traditional corned beef dinner.

Off to the Zoo and here it looks like K. is holding the otter.
The zoo is huge ....lots of up hill walking. At the half way point we decided to have a quick lunch of cheeseburgers. K. however insisted she wanted a salad. At the table we all envied her delicious looking salad.

The merry go round was fun too.
All that walking made the zebra foot massage necessary ( and fun ) !

The best days of the trip were spent at the beach. So much fun watching the girls loving every minute of playing on the beach. It was cool and windy but so worth it.

Oh yes, J. was there too....in his winter jacket.....

The ocean was freezing....and the girls thought it was such a joke to keep pushing me in.

Can you tell K. loves the ocean and was so happy to be there.
Can you tell J. is pretty excited too.

After the cold ocean the indoor pool was warm. Here J. is once again beating me in a swimming race.

J. and I also went to another beach and a beautiful garden. Here I am with one of 10,000 camellias... red, pink , white, all just beautiful.
J. loved the old oak trees.

One of the reasons for the trip was to see the girls in their dance performance. They were not only beautiful but both did a great job. What a show.
J. doing the flag dance.
K. doing the scarf dance.
The family photo.
Even got K. and D. to sit still for a quick photo.
One of the last events was for all of us to perform Alice in Wonderland in play form. Here is K. as the cat.
Big K. as Alice, little K. as the cat, Big J. as the mad hatter, little J. as the Queen of Hearts, D. as the White Rabbit, S. as the gardener. After the play we celebrated K's birthday with the appropriate Queen of Heart's fruit tarts and singing three different versions of the Happy Birthday song.

The next day was an Easter Egg hunt for the girls ...arranged by G and G. Then into the car for the long (and sad ) ride home. Already thinking about our next visit. We sure had fun !
